The Color Red

Last Seattle post. Unfortunately. I should've never left. I'm a fucking idiot.

My new life philosophy starts now. I'm in a rut. A change of scenery really charged my batteries and I'm back in San Diego with a whole new outlook. I'm going to be light and free of attachment and belongings. I'm selling three quarters of my wardrobe. It started in Seattle. I sold a bunch of stuff at the Buffalo Exchange there. I want to own very little, exchange quantity for quality, being free and light and a purist. Living out of a single suitcase for three weeks did it. And I want to own nothing and be owned by no one.

Seattle in April II

I'm still in Seattle.

Here is photographic evidence.

I've done a really insane amount of shopping here. The perfect skinny jeans in a neutral olive drab from Gap, a pair of Celine wedges from Barneys and many cable sweaters, just to name a few. This cable beauty is the perfect putty color, chunky yarn in a slim cut and only $13 (on sale) at J.Crew.

 I rest my case.

Currently Reading: Valley of the Dolls

Seattle is good for reading. I just finished the Game of Thrones series (don't even get me started) and I promptly downloaded something very, very different to my Kindle, because trying to beat Game of Thrones at its own game would have meant certain disappointment.

Consider this an unsullied view, because I've never seen the Valley of the Dolls movie. This inspired moodboarding is based on the book and book alone, and sometimes the purist in me likes it best that way.

Carlsbad in March

These photos are a couple weeks old now, but at the end of March I visited the Flower Fields in Carlsbad, California.
